List of singles released by The Enid

The Enid released some singles as part of their contract with EMI, and some that they released themselves.
All of The Enid's singles were released on "Anarchy On 45" in 1996, however some of the masters of their singles were lost in a fire in 1988 at Claret Hall Farm meaning that vinyl or tape copies had to be used. The singles: 665 The Great Bean, Fool, Golden Earrings and Skye Boat Song however, were included on The Stand - Volume 2 (1985) and The Enid have the masters of this album digitally stored on Betamax F1 tapes. The master of "Letter From America" also exists because it was a single from ''Something Wicked This Way Comes''.
== Fool ==

"Fool" is a single by British band The Enid. It was composed with Malcolm Le Maistre and features humorous lyrics that describe the fool with a medieval-sounding riff played by a synthesised recorder or possibly flute sound.
It was first released by EMI in 1980. It was later featured on ''The Stand - Volume 2'' (1985).
In 2010 Inner Sanctum released ''The Stand - Volume 2'' on CD. They illegally recorded it from the vinyl record and used a lot of noise reduction, making it very poor quality.
The B-side, "Tito", is a shortened version of "Evensong" from ''Something Wicked This Way Comes''. The reason behind the change of title is that Evensong was a "backhanded tribute to Marshal Tito when he died".〔Tears Of The Sun, Inlay information. Robert John Godfrey
